Time Event

You know what the greatest thing about having a digital camera this year will be? I don't have to worry about wasted film on shots where people suddenly walk in front of me just as I'm taking the picture... now I can erase the picture (unless I get something equally as neat) and re-shoot! And with 3 of the 64MB chips, I don't have to really worry about running out at all... each chip will hold 1000+ pics at the smallest size... and I can take little MPG movies as well... :)

LJ Photo Shoot At The Burn
Ok, I have talked with the gang at Supersnail.
The Camp photo is at 2 pm, Thursday.
At least 4 in camp, including Randal who is doing the Tofu journal, overlap with LJ.

If LJ wants to do a photo shoot, it would be nice to arrange it for around then. (I will see what I can do about abusing net access to get one of the photos uploaded while onsite. No promises though.)

However, it would ROCK to get the Freezing Man truck in the photo as well. And that would likely draw too much attention in center camp.

So...

I'll set up a clipboard at Supersnail to keep track of the final word on when such a photo shoot would happen. Supersnail is planning to publish at some point, so they will probably insist on release forms and the like. If you can come by earlier to fill out all the releases, (or indicate that, while you'd like to be in the group photo, you don't want to be in a book), that would be cool.

I get to the playa monday night, no doubt AFTER opening ceremonies, again.
However, I'll try to have a clipboard and scheduling info set up at least by Tuesday morning.
Swing by when getting your morning coffee. :)

The little things!
Great news! The inflatable furniture arrived today - WOO HOO! so we will have lounging chairs at LJ Camp.

The sun shower and sun shower enclosure arrived today. Any camp member is welcome to use it BUT they must replace the water that they used.

The glow sticks should arrive tomorrow......

We picked up the huge tent and we will be putting it up on Sunday. We will spend Saturday acclimating to the climate and elevation. We are asking for anyone who can....please come and help us put up the LJ Camp tent.

We are also brining a tea kettle for boiling water....any LJer is welcome to come over and boil water for tea, soup, cocoa, whatever.

I am just waiting for the glow sticks and the emergen-c to arrive. Then we will have everything.

Our house is really quite messy right now. The art supplies are packed, the lights are packed, I have to open the newly arrived boxes and repack the enclosed items. I have piles of clothing for costumes and stuff. Lots of red - especially for the Red Party on Tuesday.

I will be going to a thrift store today to scout around for stuff.

As suggested by an LJ Burner...we will have a bulletin board at LJ Camp so you can find fellow LJer's on the playa..........

Going thru my lists of "needs" and "wants" and keep realizing I've forgotten to write things down as I'm going thru the house packing.

I still haven't decided if I should take my airbrush and paints again this year...and it will probably all depend on the room I have... it's not on either of my lists, so I will sacrifice taking that stuff if I need the room for a "need" item.

I have a quick question, if anyone knows... is it okay for the "general population" to arrive a little early? I'm not part of any camp, but I will probably end up helping somewhere. I know that people are out there earlier than Monday, but was just curious if I'd be let in that soon as an individual.

Here's a drawing of my character in the '98 opera, The Temple of Rudra.

Here's a picture of my friend Jamie in costume for the same opera, waiting for the opera to begin (rain delayed us that year).
