Time Event
Do you need a place to stay?
There is still room in LJ Camp if you would like to stay there. You don't HAVE to be a member of LiveJournal but you do have to be willing to participate.

I have a count of 23 people who want to stay at LJ Camp (this is includes the 6 who just wrote me) I am going to throw in 5 just in case I missed anyone. That is 28 people.

Our space size is 200 x 200 which is bigger than last year.

So far, we aren't going to have no RV's so that leaves open some space but we will have about 14 vehicles.

Of course we have the 16 x 32 Army Tent, allyn and his crew are working on a shade structure. Mark and I are working on a shower structure...so you will just have to bring your water. We will also have a designated gray water area....for drying it out.

I have no idea if we are going to set up a communal kitchen or if it will be everyone on their own. It may be just as easy to do what we did last year and set it up in the main tent.

The theme is the floating world, so if you can think up any sea themed decorations, that would be great. Of course, we are participating in the Whale Dream Translation Project, so that will be cool.

OK, the excitment is mounting...WHEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

To join the camp, just reply to this post, I get all of the comments... please leave your e-mail address in your reply and the number of people, tents, and vehicles you will be bringing.

No 50 dollar fee
A while ago, Mark had talked about a 50 dollar fee to help defray the cost of LJ Camp and allow us to buy community supplies... don't worry about it.

1) We aren't adding as much as we added last year
2) This has been a bad year for everyone (financially)
3) It is a little late to be asking for fees...that should have been done months ago.

So if you are not joining our camp because of an additional fee...ignore what you heard. If you didn't hear about a 50 dollar fee...ignore this post.

mid-week arrival
I'm thinking of maybe probably maybe going, but I can't go the whole week; I'd like to go out Wednesday or so. I have a ride back to LA, but I don't know anyone interested in leaving LA mid-week.

is anyone on this list doing this, who has room to take me along?

& does anyone know if there's some way I can fly out there halfway through the week and get to the playa from the airport?

thanks burning brethren!
