Contact Lenses in the Desert

Hi, I'm a BM first timer this year, and I'm super worried about handling my contact lenses in the desert due to my extremely sensitive eyes.

I'm considering getting either one day disposables, or extended wear lenses that I can keep in for the week (although my eyes may be too sensitive for this).

How do people deal with putting in and taking out contacts in the desert without getting dust and bacteria in their eyes?

I understand that handi-wipes are the most common form of personal cleansing in the desert, but won't the soap residue hurt my eyes? How do I get my hands clean enough? Are there some brands of handi-wipes that are better than others?

Any advice from other contact lens wearers is welcome.

Thanks!
