Hello My Darling Playa Pals, I already miss you all so much : ( I just thought I'd say hello and let you know that I finally got my playa journal up on my regular journal. It was so hard to write out there let alone try to find those blips in the network, when it wasn't overloaded with people uploading porn or streaming art out to the world, where I could get a post or two out to my pals here on LJ. I'm working on my nine hundred digital pics as quickly as I can and will let you know when I put them up.

You guys amaze me, and I thought I was fast, well compared to say my pal Julian of Supersnail.com who sometimes takes up to two years to edit and post his pics. They're the best playa people pics around so he can take all the time in the world as far as I'm concerned.

Anyone else "lose" their bikes out there this year? Man, I've never had anything like this happen to me out there before, I'd been living in such a naiive happy Burning Man bubble, (No, I will not lock my bike), and even though we were warned, listening to the radio at night, and reading the notes on the e-playa board, it seems pretty clear to me that there were a lot of us whose bikes mysteriously blew away with the dust. Then there was this one story about a person who was actually bike jacked on the playa by someone who beat her, or was it a him, up, in order to take his or her bike. Fuck, what the hell is going on? Sadness.

Anyway we're Kidsville and I've been dying to say that we have absolutely nothing to do with the whole uptight, "keep your sex to yourselves and safely tucked away," thing. That really isn't coming from us, we wouldn't be bringing our kids out there if we were uptight about loving, it's the Pershing County Sherriffs who are turning up the pressure, not us, seriously. You've never met a sweeter and more open minded group of people than the folks I camp with. We're more into keeping our kids hydrated and rested than worrying about what the rest of the world is doing out there. I actually miss the loving days where you could stroll along and see someone eating out his woman on the top of an RV. I miss grilled cheese sandwiches at Biancas : ( Oh well, we're growing, someday we'll reach a critical mass or something and things will back up a step or two and we'll be cool again.

Okay, enough rambling, I just wanted to check in and say hello and thanks and hugs, Your pal, Jacqui -- the Condom Fairy

The Longest of Long Shots . . .

While waiting to have my picture taken at a booth near Center Camp, another photographer asked if he could take my picture. I accepted, and he gave me a business card. On Sunday, I ran into him at the Temple, and he asked if I still had his information. I told him that I still had his card, and thanked him. All my things are now unpacked, and the card is gone!

If you are here and spot this, please let me know! You can comment, or my contact information is sitting under my user info.

Ah well. At the very least, this is a lesson in assuming. I'm kicking my butt for not just taking a second business card!

Hello Burners!
This was my first year in BRC, and I would have to say that even with the sucky stuff (you know, the wind and cold and dusty blizzards - I left North Dakota to get AWAY from all that!) it was overall definitely a positive experience for me.

My b/f zebracar (his 4th burn) and I had these really awesome silver outfits that we would wear around the playa, and tons of people took our pictures which was really fun, but somehow, we seem to have forgotten to get any pictures of ourselves! If anyone got pix of either one or 2 people in silver skirts and masks, could you post them so I can see what we looked like? (lol - There weren't any full length mirrors in our camp!) He had a long robe with purple trim and a hood and silver mask that covered his entire face, and a long walking stick with some crystals at the top. I was in a silver skirt with a matching poncho and a headdress that I would wrap over my face, kinda Lawrence of Arabia style.

Again if any of you happened to take our pix, we would love to see them! It would be much appreciated Thanks!
