Swinging Tig

JUNE 17th - Disorient presents the NY COMPRESSOR

For all those in the NYC area - this is a party you won't want to miss!

JUNE 17th - Disorient presents the NY COMPRESSOR

156 Tillary Street, Brooklyn Heights (10,000 square foot warehouse)

10 DJs - including deep house maestros Halo & Neil Aline and break beat geniuses Deekine & Wizard - help New York City's largest Burning Man camp throw a righteous fundraiser for their mobile Disorient Express. That's right, you might be able to go home and get some sleep this year because we're taking it out of the dome and into the deep playa.

Be warned: it's just a dress rehearsal for the big show in the desert. Held at a 10,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Brooklyn, this warm up includes velvety house music, funky breaks, bright orange LEDs, large inflatable installations, costumes, video styling, lots of blinking lights, drinks, rituals, massage...and ridiculously large glowing bubbles! If you're interested in what this Burning Man thing is all about, there won't be a better preview this summer. If you've been, you already know this is a must-attend event. Early arrivals can partake of a free vegan feast by Chef Lacey at 9pm. Tickets and info at www.disorient.com.

Original Santa Wants His PAGAN ORGY back

The Sanctuary song (filk alert!)

I wrote this song for the 2000 Burn. Sanctuary was a tent near medical where people who were, for one reason or another, in need of a quiet, sane place to chill out, could go. The name Sanctuary came about because members of the Ranger Senior Staff got down with their Logan's Run vibe.

The tune for this song was shamelessly stolen from inspired by The Eagles' "Hotel California". In other words, it's a filk song.

BTW, for those of you who might know him, the Ranger this song speaks of was inspired by Ranger Bob. Not based on any particular circumstance, but because he's got a wonderful, peaceful energy. Love ya, bro.

X-posted to my LJ. Enjoy.
