Silicon Valley Burners: Looking for truck space

I'm driving up to the Burn this year in my beloved PT Cruiser, which has room for absolutely everything I'm going to need ...

...except my bicycle.

Most everything I've read has recommended a hitch-mounted bike rack for PTs, which I'm absolutely willing to add, but I have neither the time nor the money to do so before the event. I'm looking to arrive on-playa the 25th and depart the 4th; if you've got similar travel plans and space for a beach cruiser (with a fairly large handlebar basket), or know someone in your camp who fits the bill, please drop me a line at purplekoosh(at)gmail(dot)com.

Thanks!

a little help in San Francisco?

I'm headed out early to the West Coast because a friend has graciously offered me a ride! Wooo! Thing is, though people I know will be converging in SF, I will be there before them and won't know much of anyone until then. I'm utilizing couchsurfing.com to meet cool people to stay with, but I really would like to find some kind of temporary work. any suggestions? I can make stuff, but if I could find something a little more reliable to do than be a hippie ;) and make hemp jewelry, that would be great. what is a good resource for finding odd jobs in the area? I've been trying craigslist, is there anything else I can do? I'd just like to be gainfully employed for 2-3 weeks.
