You guys amaze me, and I thought I was fast, well compared to say my pal Julian of Supersnail.com who sometimes takes up to two years to edit and post his pics. They're the best playa people pics around so he can take all the time in the world as far as I'm concerned.
Anyone else "lose" their bikes out there this year? Man, I've never had anything like this happen to me out there before, I'd been living in such a naiive happy Burning Man bubble, (No, I will not lock my bike), and even though we were warned, listening to the radio at night, and reading the notes on the e-playa board, it seems pretty clear to me that there were a lot of us whose bikes mysteriously blew away with the dust. Then there was this one story about a person who was actually bike jacked on the playa by someone who beat her, or was it a him, up, in order to take his or her bike. Fuck, what the hell is going on? Sadness.
Anyway we're Kidsville and I've been dying to say that we have absolutely nothing to do with the whole uptight, "keep your sex to yourselves and safely tucked away," thing. That really isn't coming from us, we wouldn't be bringing our kids out there if we were uptight about loving, it's the Pershing County Sherriffs who are turning up the pressure, not us, seriously. You've never met a sweeter and more open minded group of people than the folks I camp with. We're more into keeping our kids hydrated and rested than worrying about what the rest of the world is doing out there. I actually miss the loving days where you could stroll along and see someone eating out his woman on the top of an RV. I miss grilled cheese sandwiches at Biancas : ( Oh well, we're growing, someday we'll reach a critical mass or something and things will back up a step or two and we'll be cool again.
Okay, enough rambling, I just wanted to check in and say hello and thanks and hugs, Your pal, Jacqui -- the Condom Fairy
