FYI: NYC -> Sunday, January 9th @ 9-5: Electronics Recycling at Union Square!!!

i thought this may be of interest, since maybe new yorkers could see about obtaining pieces for art installations for either here or at Burning Man...

TIME: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
AT: Union Square Park - North Plaza - Broadway &
17th Street

Dear Recyclers,
With the holidays approaching and people acquiring new
electronic gadgets or upgrading their clunky monitor
with that flat screen monitor we have scheduled an
electronic waste recycling event

Acceptable materials are:
Working & non working
Computers (cpus/laptops/servers/mainframes)
Monitors
Printers/scanners/faxes/copiers
Network devices (routers, hubs,modems, etc.)
Peripherals (keyboards,cables,mice, etc.)
Components (hard drives, cdroms, circuit boards, power
supplies, back
up batteries, etc.)
TV's/VCR.s/DVD Players
Audio visual devices/Radios/Stereos
Cell phones/pagers/PDAs
Phones, Answering machines

A receipt for your tax-deductible donation of
electronics will be available, please ask for it when
dropping off your equipment.

All collected equipment will be recycled, cell phones
will be donated to Collective Goods

We would like to thank the New York Community Trust
for providing funding for our electronic waste
recycling program and the Department of Parks &
Recreation for hosting the event.
