Beach Clean Up, Golden Gate in San Francisco, May 5th
this just in! At the conclusion of today's clean up and public education project, we've got a special burn lined up: We've been given the last parts of the David Best Temple that was in Hayes Valley Green for six months, and will burn it ( in small, 3x3 foot legal sized parts ) tonight!
Burners Without Borders public service project. Friday, May 5th, 4pm till past dark. Beach clean up and public education project on proposed ban on beach burns in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Meet at north end of parking lot opposite where Fulton meets the ocean.
Together, we'll make the beach beautiful (bring your cleanup tools if you have them - trash bags, buckets, magnet rakes, etc.), collect letters opposing the beach burn ban, and then enjoy a sunset potluck dinner (don't forget to bring a little something to share--rumor is Chef Spoon may make New Orleans-style beignets on the spot ). Then, naturally, we'll make a little fire when the sun goes down--some nail free wood would also be welcome. Mark your calendars now, and start looking for a good pointy stick for marshmallows.
