I'm putting together a class on Playa Cooking where I work, and while I have some experience in the field, I wanted to pick your brains for any tips you you have for putting a good meal together out there.
Some topics I plan to cover:
-Nutritional needs for the harsh environment and active lifestyle
-Setting up a proper kitchen space
-Getting the right equipment / improvising with what you have
-How to pack, prepare, and label your food before you head out
-What kinds of food survives well out there
-Dealing with trash and waste water
-Some recipes that are well suited for the desert
The class will likely be videotaped, in which case I'll put out a notice of the YouTube linkage.
